Excellent books for children of all ages

Excellent books for children of all ages; maybe the little ones will need an adult to read to them some of the stories with the most complex vocabulary, like the BFG, but there is a rich variety of stories for children of all ages. Adults will enjoy them too. "Boy" and "Going Solo" may be more appropriate for older kids and adults. My 5 year old asked for this set as a birthday present, I'm sure he'll be thrilled!

15 timeless books from Roald Dahl in an adorable box set... happy mom, happy child, these are books we will keep forever.

I love Roald Dahl, his books were my favorite when I was a kid. His books speak to kids and adults of all ages, and the imagination his books inspire in children is unparalleled. I was so excited to buy this box set for my 8 year old son who is in second grade. He is a huge reader, but was having a hard time connecting to books that were on a more mature level than Captain Underpants, Stink, etc. I knew he would love these and I am so happy to say I was right! These books are timeless. He devours them, laughs out loud, asks insightful questions about the characters and subtext. This is the best kind of book for a growing child, imaginative, exciting, fun, wacky, sweet, with a clear moral message that isn't preachy or creepy. Have started to reread all of these books so that I can discuss them with my son, and we are having the best time. This is one of the best decisions I ever made in terms of buying reading material for my son. He likes having them all together in the box, they look great as well. Yay!

Love Roald Dahl

The stories speak for themselves. They're classics! I'd pay double for these stories alone, without the bells and whistles that come with the box set. That being said, the packaging is attractive as well!
