I LOVED every one of the STORM SERIES books and her new book, STORM CONQUERED, is no exception. Magda Alexander knows how to suck you in to the story from the very first page. All her books have just the right amount of brutal honesty, intrigue, passion, and enough misunderstanding among her characters (to cause problems) to keep you coming back for more time and time again. LOVED this whole series... Magda is an exceptional author. Book 4... I could not put it down...Was up until 730 this morning finishing it..... it has lots of action, intrigue, who done its, and a surprise or two. And sex, let's not forget about the sex. Bravo Magda. Magda Alexander loves piña coladas and walks in the rain. Okay, enough of that. Rewind.
Magda loves reading steamy romances which she's been doing since she was ten. Ummm, that's not quite true. Steamy romances did not exist when she was ten, and if they had, she's pretty sure her mother would not have allowed her to read them. She did read the hand-holding, longing-glances kind, along with her catechism, which got her into trouble more than once. Mother Superior was not amused.
As soon as sexy romances came into existence, thank you Rosemary Rogers, she's been lapping them up. So when it came time to write one, guess what she wrote. A no-brainer, right?
Magda, a lifelong learner, graduated from the University of Maryland where she majored in Business Administration (because her family had to eat) and minored in English (because she needed to dream). She's lived in Maryland most of her life and now resides close to the Catoctin Mountains in a city whose history dates back to colonial times.

too short

I wanted more from this book but instead it was much too short. Waited a long time for it too. While I enjoy the "Storm" trilogy, this book seem disassociated with them. I love Jake and always knew his feelings for Brianna were hidden but this book just seemed lacking. Although it did answer a couple of questions left hanging from the last one, there wasn't enough substance to it. Also,the author would repeat facts already stated. I expected a little more cat and mouse chase between the two main characters but it was like they never even shared the animosity that kept them apart through the first 3 books. And then it abruptly ended. Am I surprised? Not really. Most books these days you need find out if there's a cliffhanger and if another book is coming soon before reading. Otherwise, you're going to be disappointed as I am right now.

not as good as previous books

I absolutely loved the first three books in this series but didn't enjoy this one at all. Everything felt rushed and I didn't feel the chemistry between the two at all. Everything was resolved too quickly for my liking but I guess I should have looked at page count before I purchased.

"A Blonde Virago"!

Brianna is a highly educated, brilliant, hard-working BRAT! She is so annoying, you'll want to scream, but don't worry, she grows up. That's not a spoiler, honest. This story is so good! You may know that her main bodyguard for 8 years has been Jake. She is in Brazil, messing up a Storm Industries job and Jake has been asked to go down there to fix everything. He also wants to know why she is acting so irresponsibly! There is danger, suspense, and two people who have loved each other for a long time, but can't even admit it to themselves. Lots of action, and what's great is this book 4 of the series stands alone ok and there is no cliffhanger. Of course, as with most series you won't be disappointed if you read the books in order.
