Akbar Ahmed’s play highlights the complex issue of religious interpretation within a human context.

Akbar Ahmed is the Ibn Khaldun Chair of Islamic Studies at the American University, Washington, DC, and in 2008 he was appointed Distinguished Chair for Middle East/Islamic Studies at the US Naval Academy, Annapolis. I liked this one fine but maybe not as much as the other two. I had a real problem with the author turning Janet into a complete slut. It wasn't so much the menage' a trois (spelling?)that bothered me, as it would have been hot if other characters were involved. I didn't like her sleeping with other girls husbands whether it's what her man wanted or not. I found that pretty distasteful. Also I never could quite care about the secondary romance in this book. I'm glad they had closure but just never really invested in their story. I found the main story much more compelling. I will definitely read more of this author works in the future though. She's a great writer and does twists and turns pretty well. Good ending though to a great story. Looking forward to more in the future.

Well I can honestly say I have found a new author, that I like.
This final story was very good, excellent story, lot's of adventure, action and more.
I'm really hoping she writes more. I thought it written well, and developed in a way you didn't want to put it down.
Love archaeology, and the history of the Clovis tribe. We have become such a spoiled society that we would never have survived. Thank you for a awesome story, it felt so vividly real.

At the end of book 2, Janet was in complete, sorrowful mourning over Gundre’s death and she was very pregnant. Chief Marro and his remaining band of survivors find Pattahunda’s small tribe in their wintering mountain cave. Chief Marro is beyond happy to have found Janet & the tribe, but at the same time, is mad at Janet for running away from him with Gundre, during the volcano eruption.

But as Spring comes, the nomadic tribe goes on the move again. Chief Marro wants to check on his previous home site at Three Rivers. Janet and the other white people know that there will be nothing but ruins and that there is almost no probability of any other surviving tribes people. However, Chief Marro is determined and is determined to find more of his people.

Upon noticing something flaming streaking through the sky, Janet & Phil set out to investigate what it may be. It was another airplane, but everyone on board died, and from the looks of it, the people weren’t traveling for pleasure.

In the future/modern day, Amy and Brian are starting to come a long way in their relationship. Amy is still an archaeologist but is planning to transfer to a college in Colorado to teach where she will be able to live with Brian. But when they find out the government is sending people to the past, they are shocked and astonished. But more so, they are worried that the other may want to go to the past, each for separate reasons.

I really enjoyed the conclusion, though it did seem fairly quick after the final big hurrah. But I was left satisfied. I wish that there was more from this series, but am quite fine with how it ended.

A good biography

This is one of the better biographies of Amy. It is well detailed and follows throughout her life and successes throughout her music career. The book discusses her early life, fame and while it doesn't talk much about the last year of her life, it is a good biography of her life. I think that the book may have been in the process of being written when Amy died and the ending kind of tossed together, but the author does a good job of making it work. There are some photos in the book and the book chronicles her relationship with Blake a bit more than other biographies do. I would recommend it as there are biographies written about Amy, but I have only read two others worth reading. One is by her father Mitch Winehouse called "Amy, My Daughter" and the other one is called "A Losing Game" by Nick O'Shea that I would suggest as well.

A Sad Tale

When I purchased this book I knew little of Amy Winehouse and had my own opinions of her life as offered to me by the media.

On reading this book I learned of the tru tragedy of this amazing young woman's death.

Amy's talent was amazing and I have become an avid fan of her music; now I have purchased all of her music and lament the miserable idiots who enabled her on that very destructive path.

Well written and so sobering to read fact instead of tabloid rubbish.

Not a real biography

This book is a series of articles and interviews from various media sources. It is mostly chronological and is divided into chapters, so that is why it is being sold as a book. The author did not interview anyone or have access to personal materials associated with Amy or her family and friends.

About the Author
Dr. Michael C. Braswell is Professor Emeritus of Criminal Justice and Criminology at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). Braswell received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mercer University in 1969, a Master of Arts in Psychology from West Georgia College in 1970, his Ed.S. in Rehabilitation/Correctional Counseling from the University of Georgia in 1973, and his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. A former prison psychologist, he taught ethics and human relations courses for more than 30 years at East Tennessee State University. He has published books on ethics, peacemaking, and correctional counseling as well as two novels and a short story collection.

Belinda R. McCarthy is Professor of Counseling, Leadership, and Special Education at Missouri State University. Her Ph.D is in Criminal Justice from SUNY Albany.

Bernard J. McCarthy is Professor of Criminology at Missouri State University. He is also Director of the Center for Homeland Security, Program Coordinator MAAS (Criminal Justice and Homeland Security).
